Massive Blast Outside CRPF School In Delhi

On Sunday, there was an explosion outside a CRPF school in north Delhi's Rohini area.

The blast was so powerful that it created a large hole in the school wall.

The police had questioned the caller who first informed them about the incident, according to an FIR filed.

According to an FIR, an investigation was going on about the kind of explosives used in the blast, which occurred in Prashant Vihar at 7:40 am on Sunday.

The FIR said that a cloud of white smoke was seen in the sky, and a significant amount of white powder was found scattered at the blast site. It added that forensic officials collected a sample to determine the exact cause.

The sound of the explosion was very loud, and the windows and signboards of shops opposite the CRPF Public School were destroyed.

Akash Kumar, the first person to inform the police about the explosion, said he was sleeping at the time of the incident. The Police later questioned him to get clues regarding the blast.

An FIR was filed against unknown individuals under the Explosives Act.

According to Delhi Police sources, the explosion was caused by a low-intensity IED (Improvised Explosive Device) controlled by a timer or remote, without any shrapnel or ball bearings.

 

No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
